Course Description

Paediatric Respiratory Presentations may range from rhinitis to pneumonia, asthma & bronchiolitis. We may see children with respiratory symptoms as the infection is developing, in full blown presentation or after acute episodes, perhaps leading to chronic respiratory presentations.

Paediatric Digestive Issues can present very early in children whether they are breastfed, formula fed or mixed milk fed. Progressively the transition to family foods, requires adaptation of the oral mechanics of sucking, swallowing along with the increasing digestive demand. These may affect the upper digestive tract with regurgitation, wind and reflux, and GERD; they may affect the lower digestive tract with constipation, diarrhea, bloating and various disease processes. In this course we will explore the presentation, diagnosis and treatment of various GIT presentations.

The course will be held over two days divided between lecture presentations and tutored practical sessions of treatment approaches using osteopathy in the cranial field, balanced ligamentous tension, myofascial release and visceral approaches to the respiratory and digestive mechanics, the autonomic nervous system, lymphatic system and immune support.

There will also be three experienced tutors assisting with the practical sessions.
