An Osteopathic Approach to Common Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedic Conditions of Early Childhood
This next course will explore the osteopathic approach to musculoskeletal and orthopaedic
conditions in early childhood.
The course will cover the clinical presentation, examination
and treatment of common musculoskeletal conditions from birth to 7 years of age. The
course will run over two days and will include lectures on development, physiology and
pathology; demonstrations of examination and treatment of paediatric patients; There will be tutored practical sessions exploring the commonly used treatment approaches to children with a tutor student ratio of 1:6.

About Julie Fendall
Julie has over 40 years of clinical and teaching experience in Paediatrics. Having qualified originally at the British School of Osteopathy in London, then completing a Masters degree in Paediatrics in Melbourne, Julie has studied, taught and practised in osteopathic paediatrics throughout her career. She has contributed to the development of safe practice protocols for the Australian Osteopathic Association with regard to examination and treatment of babies and children. Julie is a breastfeeding counsellor and has completed more in-depth study in lactation, pregnancy, birth and post-natal care. Julie teaches both locally and internationally in paediatrics and maternal health and is involved with developing & teaching Masters level paediatric programs for post graduate groups in Europe.
