Why This Strategy Matters

As a member of Osteopaths New Zealand, your voice, your practice, and your professional future are at the heart of this strategic plan. The FY25–29 Strategy Playback outlines the collective direction we have chosen as a profession: to strengthen our identity, deepen public trust, and unify our diverse membership under a shared vision—to be the united voice for osteopathy in Aotearoa.

This roadmap is not just about organisational goals, it’s about creating lasting impact for osteopaths, patients, and the wider healthcare system. It reflects the feedback and insights of our members, and it prioritises what matters most to you: visibility, advocacy, collaboration, and sustainable support.

As we move from vision to action, we invite all members to read this plan with curiosity and purpose. Consider how your work connects with these strategic pou: Promote, Unite, and Support. Think about where you see yourself in this journey, and how we, together, can shape the future of osteopathy in New Zealand.

The Osteopaths New Zealand Constitution is the foundational document that governs how our society operates. It outlines our purpose, values, membership structure, decision-making processes, and the roles and responsibilities of our Board.

More than just a set of rules, the Constitution reflects our commitment to transparency, accountability, and collective leadership. It ensures that ONZ functions in a way that supports its members, upholds the integrity of the profession, and aligns with our long-term vision—to be the united voice for osteopathy in Aotearoa.

We encourage all members to familiarise themselves with the Constitution, as it underpins how we work together and grow as a professional community.
