Enhancing Clinical Skills

Auckland, 20 - 21 September 2014

Location: The Nyima Tashi Buddhist Centre. 30 Pollen St, Grey Lynn, Auckland.

All practitioners are aware that external force acting on the body has the ability to disrupt the normal physiology resulting in dysfunction and disease. When we are taught in schools to take a case history and to palpate it is done with the intention of gathering information so that we can identify that which is wrong. This intention in itself can be a force that influences what we hear and perceive.

This program will explore the dynamics of listening and palpation to enable a more open and accurate approach to information gathering in the clinical environment so that treatment becomes more effective.

The course will run over 2 days and will include both theory and palpatory sessions with the intention that participants will leave the course listening and palpating more accurately.

The course will be led by Anthony Norrie DO who has been in practice as an Osteopath for 28 years. During this time he has been exploring and developing this understanding of palpation. He has been teaching Osteopathy in Australia/NZ and Europe for over 20 years.

Cost: $600.00
